Probe Installation Methods

Ultrasonic flowmeter probe installation is critical to achieving accurate measurements. The method chosen Z, V, N, or W. depends on the pipe size and operating conditions.

  • Z and V methods are ideal for larger pipes due to stronger signal retention and easier probe alignment.

  • N and W methods suit smaller pipes, increasing signal path length for improved precision, but with weaker signal strength.

  • Signal performance is influenced by pipe diameter, material, fluid characteristics, and environmental factors.

  • Probe positioning and accurate distance measurement are essential for clear and stable signal transmission.
